Megan & Billy

When I first met Megan & Billy, we connected over their adorable puppy Manny & wine & our affinity for all things fun, thinking we were just strangers passing by. & then we realized how alike we were & we basically fell in love from there. These two are some of the most honest & humble people you’ll ever meet & they have such an incredible love story about resilience, strength & truly believing in the power of love. So when they asked if I would style their engagement shoot I was nothing short of honored, knowing all that they’d been through.

Megan’s style is simple & understated [mainly because her gorgeous eyes & smile do all the showcasing], but styling her was a dream. We chose one comfy-casual look that screamed Fall & one more stylized look that highlighted her long//lean legs & naturally tan skin. She expressed to me that she didn’t want to look over the top, but rather true to who she was, so we chose a gorgeous, heavy weight, knit cardigan [that she could actually wear again] & an ultra soft salmon red v-neck tee. For her dressy look, we found a beautifully fitted olive green blazer & [every girl’s dream] the perfect LBD. We topped the look off with a simple pair of matte black leather pumps & called it an engagement-shoot-ready day. For Meg, feeling beautiful but comfortable in her own skin for the shoot was everything.

As for Billy, he was a little trickier. Knowing exactly what he liked & knowing he has a strong, athletic body, he was more selective about the pieces we found for him. Ultimately we scored a gorgeous, soft grey blazer & a fitted button-up for his dressier look. As for his casual attire, we found him a super comfortable black knit pullover to team with a great scarf & olive green pants. Each of their looks played off one another, which is intensely important for a shoot declaring one’s togetherness.

Needless to say, these two humans have an amazing life ahead of them & I am so proud & touched that they allowed me to play even the tiniest little part in any of it. Congratulations Megs & Billy [& Manny]. May the rest of your days together be as beautiful as your spirits. Xx.

Lauren

When I first met Lauren, it was like meeting a long lost sister. She was funny, beautiful, approachable, & so insanely smart. She came to me because she was heading out to Stagecoach & wanted to use the “Pack My Bags” service. I was not only thrilled to work with her, but in awe when I saw some of the pieces she was working with. We got right down to business, & by the end of our day we found ourselves sneaking through her mom’s vintage jewelry finds, for that extra added something for her three-day outfits. Like I said, sisters. Such a fun day. Oh & did I mention the wine…yeah. ALL the wine.

Roxanne

My very first client, Roxanne, was so much fun to work with. She booked the “Closet Audit & Personal Shopping Package” with me & has since been officially deemed the “Queen of Chambray”. Her main concerns with Lyric were transitioning from casual-wear to evening-wear & doing so with intention. We reorganized her entire walk-in, made sense of colors, prints, patterns & shapes that work for her body type & have shopped five times together since her first consult. I’d call that a success! However, like many of my clients, she had amazing pieces to work with. Sometimes it just takes some fine tuning & a second opinion [from mua] to be assured that what you’re doing is working.
